Initially the installation of a microcontroller was to enhance the detector resilience to radiation of headlights, incandescent lamps, lighting devices, especially flashing lights of emergency and loading vehicles.
The obligatory requirement for all loaders and other vehicles coming into the large warehouses grounds to have flashing lights on has led to additional light protection of flame detectors being much in demand. It should be mentioned that if these flashing lights did rotate with the speed 1 turn per 1–10 seconds, required by the GOST (the RF State standard), even our basic modification Flame Detector Pulsar 1-01 would cope with the task.
In reality, the frequency of flickering is often 5–7 Hz. Such frequency corresponds to flame flickering spectrum. If we take into account that the reflection caused by walls, racks and cases is broken, thus multiplying the light sources, it becomes evident that the operation of several loading vehicles close to each other makes the task of signals detection much more difficult. Flame Detector Pulsar 4-01 has been designed specifically for operation under such conditions.
